Locus Amoenus Bed & Breakfast - Matera

Wandering the historic streets at sunset with the beautiful backdrop of illuminated Matera was magical. The cozy atmosphere of our cave room made for a unique experience.

Its location a 10-15 minute walking distance from a grand marble-striped cathedral was amazing and incredible:)))

perfect 10/10 experience there. decent base for a 2-night stay. breakfast with cappuccino, jam. central heating, multi-channel tv, and a fridge in the room, perfect location. friendly staffs, gave a few recommendations. location so close to a main square, the old town and matera ' s. for tea or coffee visit maximus lounge bar nearby.

The spa bath was such a treat, and we loved lounging by the jacuzzi to unwind. The only thing was a bit of noise in the morning due to people passing by, but it certainly didn't take away from our great experience 😊

We had a blast visiting the ancient ruins and enjoying local cuisine. The pool was fantastic and perfect for our group vibe. The cute staff really took care of us!

The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at times, made planning our outings a little harder.

The room was super spacious with an awesome cave vibe. We had a loft with twin beds and a nice shower. The queen bed was comfy, and there was plenty of sitting space. Loved that there was a fridge and kitchen access nearby. The view outside was pretty good, especially during the day. Just a heads up, no balcony but you can step out for a nice city view! Really enjoyed the ambiance in there.

Staying here was a good experience during our visit to explore Matera's stunning sights. The highlight was definitely the very nice breakfast with warm croissants and fresh juices. It was a perfect start to our day. The room was spacious and comfortable, enhancing our relaxation after a long day of sightseeing.

The fresh, warm croissants at breakfast were a culinary highlight that had me dreaming about them even now! Plus, the fine views from the room. The host was super cute, we felt right at home.

Still, it didn't take away from the overall charm and magic of the stay.

Locus amoenus bed & breakfast was fantastic! The king room with spa bath was spacious and comfortable. We loved the jacuzzi and the breakfast with warm croissants and freshly squeezed juices was the highlight of our stay. The location is great, just a short walk from matera sud train station.

Magical city, lovely breakfast, perfect location.

Friendly staff all the time 😊. the hotel is right next to Sassi, an 8000-year-old cave, and a bunch of restaurants.

My room was just perfect - AC, good ventilation, and super beautiful. Couldn't have asked for a better setup. the location of this place is top-notch, just a stone's throw away from the Matera Sud train station 🚉.
